Behind the mist.
To summarize my feelings about Graveland... I am a fanBoi!!!111

No, but seriously I am a big fan of the older material (particularly 1000 Swords), the mid-career stuff (Immortal Pride) and I enjoy very much the new releases (Memory and Destiny).

Anyone else?

Also discuss- Capricornus' drumming on In the Glare of Burning Churches and how obviously horrible he is.. especially at double bass.
 
everyone around here knows I'm a huge fan of Graveland. I've got pretty much every CD release from them. Following the VOice of Blood is my fave.

can't wait to hear Dawn of the Iron Blades or whatever it's called
 
Yeah! I've heard a song from the new album, and I like it. It's pretty much in the vein of Memory and Destiny from what I could tell.

hm.. i'll agree here. Its like... just good enough to keep, yet almost bad enough to re-do.
 
As far as the music goes Immortal pride is great. It's just too bad that the vocals leave a lot to be desired... And the less than stellar english lyrics in the female spoken word part always makes me cringe (and that's bad since I'm not even a native speaker of english). But all in all Immortal Pride is a great album!

My list would probably go like such-

1. Memory and Destiny
2. Immortal Pride (How can I not mention the hilarity of the booklet)
3. Raise your Sword
4. 1000 Swords.

My booklet only has the picture of a group of men watching another group of men drown or something. Of course, the leader of the former is wearing a cross that was so obviously drawn onto the picture, rendering any point Darken had as moot, at least in relation to the picture.

Yeah, that picture always cracks me up! I can't imagine what Darken were thinking? It would have been better not to alter the picture at all if that's the best they could come up with!

Right.. its ridiculous. It seriously must have been done in paint. Do you have the picture of a group of vikings with Darken photo-shopped into it (really horribly)?
 
Oh by the way, I do not own the actual Immortal Pride CD... I recall the quote about Christian murderers in the booklet being particularly effective... could anyone type it out for me? I'd really appreciate it.
