Eh, I don't know. I guess you're right, since everyone seems to like that album except for me. My personal favorite is Dead Heart in a Dead World. I think it has more melody and more memorable sections than This Godless Endeavor.

trust me. start with dead heart in a dead world. the newest opus, this godless endeavor, is incredible...and with all the hype and publicity surrounding the record/band at the moment, you could get away with getting this album first as it absolutely crushes anything in its path. however, i still feel that dead heart, while arguably not their 'best' album, is the best way to get into the band. if you like it, it's pretty much guaranteed youll enjoy the rest of their releases.

this godless endeavor is a masterpiece of mammoth proportions and the title track could very well be the best song the band has ever written...

I'd recommend The Odyssey to a Nevermore fan.

I'd recommend Dreaming Neon Black to a SX fan.

I love both bands.
