guitar and bass fit together how?

so that i know it would done with eq but what settings? anything general starting points that i can start if someone could tell me what freqs i should cut or boost and how much...my style is somekind mix of machine head,soulfly,sepultura i like that kind of low tuned metal
so please send some preset what i could try im sooo noob with mixing

Depends on what tone is happening, on both bass and guitar.

less bottom/low mid than you think on guitars, less treble/ high mid on bass

since you will have dry tracks, try getting a tone that fits good together without eq as much as you can, by tweaking the sounds on the amp sims, then use eq subtly to get them to fit a bit better. also try using some compression on the bass.

wait...dry tracks? i got also tascam us-1641 for drum recording
