Just so you know, he's playing the "clean samples" through Guitar Rig 2, one of the boxed presets.

I found a manual for that and it's apparently a bitch to figure out. The left hand keys he's playing are modifying the sample bank to stuff like SLIDE Up/Down, palm mute, hammer-on pull-off etc. You've pretty much gotta be a piano virtuoso to do it well.
