Kinda odd question here, but, figured I'd ask anyways.

Ive got this crap LTD that I do absolutely nothing with.

Im doing some photos here soon with a friend of mine to get some stuff together for a website and what not, and thought of maybe doing an underwater pic in "mid-shred". Just cuz it'd be kinda funny and weird, at least to me.

I dont really care about this guitar much, but, just because Im curious... Im assuming submerging the pickups isnt the best idea for them.. but, they're whatever factory crap duncan designed shit, I dont care about them either...

How bad could that be for the guitar? lol

Electronics don't explode on contact with water (assuming you're not plugged in :p). Dry off the excess, leave it for a week or so somewhere warm, and I bet it still works. The pots will crackle like Hell afterwards, but other than that the rust shouldn't really be a problem on such a simple circuit.

The bigger problem I think would be the fact that inside the body cavity, the back of the neck joint (on both the neck and the body) and probably the p'up holes aren't sealed, so you'll be left with one soggy log, and screws and things will probably start to lift out etc.

first of all i thinks it is a really great idea to shoot pics in/under water......

at least is has been 30 years ago...from then on everyone is doing it, and it's always looking like a cheap ripoff, c'mon even every third musicvideo is shot under water..

but apart from that... i wouldn't care about the electronics..they can be replaced, but the wood will suffer, you'll probably have to dry the body and trash the neck afterwards.

Gotta get your drummer in on the act too. He needs to pour water and glitter all over his kit (ala Dokken) so every time he smashes them it sprays everywhere....
