The shitty thing is...this WAS supposed to happen. But problem after problem after problem. Peter Jackson & Neill Blomkamp were gonna make it, they left and from the ashes gave us District 9. Spielberg was even interested at one point also. As far as I know it's dead.

The only person I could see doing Halo is Peter Jackson & Neil Blomkamp.
I'm not a fan of Halo as it is, at all, and I'd definitely be keen to see a Halo movie done by those two, especially after seeing District 9
