I didn't even realize the date. It sort of puts things into perspective though. I've been so torn up over Matt breaking up with me last night. At least I don't have planes being flown into my home I suppose.

Haha, I didn't know what day it was either till I checked the calendar at work.

9/11 was a horrible tragedy, but four years later it's just being politicized and used as leverage by a calculating, manipulative government perfectly willing to sacrifice American lives to achieve their goals. The best we can do is not buy in to this SuperPatriotism bullshit, keep a clear head, and mourn the dead instead of using them.

You'd think that the way they wring every drop of sympathy and patriotism out of people every September 11th and commercialize the living fuck out of it would be less prominent this year, what with New Orleans still being up to its neck in raw sewage, dead bodies, starving people, stagnant water, rape, and debt ... well, you'd think.
