Hatecrew booklet....

they are all missing lyrics at some point, alexi writes the lyrics AFTER he sing them.

so if he cant figure out what he said, he wont write em down.

yeah, those that were written were from FTR, before that there was actually no straight song lyrics... He does not put them written down, cuz they are to personal to him, thats his words :p

well he wrote everytime i die down, and that seems pretty deep. but then songs like Bodom beach terror aren written down?? its probably a combination of both reasons, he forgot what he said in the studio, and personal reasons

Naw, its nothing to do with forgetting, its becuasse they he says they are either too personal or too retarded to share.

Well, what's all the fuss about? If there aren't some CoB lyrics in the booklets, no need to worry; Stun will write them down. :loco:

I still think that alexi just spends so much time with the music, he doesnt write real lyrics to most songs, and they end up being nonsensical jibberish...which is totally a-ok by my standards. whatever is correct, who cares, they still fuckin rock out

Agreed, but at the same time it's the thing that I don't understand about COB - why would somebody spoil his well-crafted and thought out songs with lyrics like that, instead of spending just a little more time on them??? I wish they weren't printed anywhere at all.

It all started with Something wild when they were in the studio they were running out of time so they could only properly do one song with lyrics ( which is lake bodom right? ) so then it kind of carried on to the next album and the next album, there rest of the songs thats he doesnt sit down and right real lyrics for are just words that sound cool and have no meaning.

i dont think there's anything spoiled about it. Good lyrics add to a good song. bad lyrics you cant understand in a great song make it fuckin amazing. the drythroat fits man. some people cant write lyrics, leave it be, the music's amazing why get tripped up over something so small.

Well, yeah, they were prolly running out of time, but nonetheless, the only lyrics printed on SW booklet are for Touch Like Angel of Death.

I think everyone should stop bitching and just listen to the music itself. Obviously, vocals are not the most important part of COB. Alexi probably just puts some lyrics cause he knows everyone would bitch if he didn't, but truthfully, he don't give a shit about the lyrics. It's just a filler, its all about the music to Alexi

The fact is, is that Alexi used to never care about lyrics... and he still doesn't, basically. But lyrics are not vocals. He's said more than once in recent interviews that the vocals are getting more prominent in Bodom and will probably continue to do so. I think this is a good thing. I can't stand listening to bands where the vocals are an afterthought.

I also think I was an idiot to hammer it into eveyrone's heads that Alexi just gibbers his way through the songs. Becuase he's since said hismelf that he doesn't! Fuck, it's gonna take another long time to change ppl's minds. Alexi says he used to write all the lyrics in the studio as an afterthought and improvise once in a while... but he says that's changing (he wrote one song's lyrics off HCD before the music was made, Needled 24/7). We'll see, anyhow.

Or we can get that one guy to do them, i forgot his name, but he did Black Widow, and a couple other hatebreeder songs, and it was some funny shit.

That's probably not right. Because in many interviews Alexi has said, that the first time he wrote lyrics before music, was last summer, when they were touring, right after Ale had told him he would leave the band.

"Oh well, who knows about these rockstars." :loco:

.. in addition to what Extendar already said, Needled definitely didn't have its lyrics before the music since when they played it in Wacken and Spinefeast Alexi wasn't singing with the lyrics on the booklet, but more like growling more or less random words.
The Wacken version chorus goes like this :

random growling
random growling
Needled 24/7 + random growling
random growling

When in the album version "Needled 24/7" is sung at the end of the fourth line, as you already knew.

Ok, that was messy but what the hell.
