So EMG 81 was switched with an EMG 81 and it doesnt make a difference??

hmm.... this one i shall have to ponder...

TO THE THINKING DEPOSITORY WIZARD CAVE!

Well, there you go. There's your problem. It's a Kirk Hammett signature guitar. It was specially made for the "Clipping Death" CD. That's just the signature sound...using various natural construction materials which are known for their clipping inducing behavior.:loco:

I find it really hard to believe you have some special guitar that defies the way all other guitars work with those pickups. Your guitar is nothing special. The wood your guitar is made of is not special in any way that would affect how EMGs work.

I, personally, would appreciate it if you just stopped posting about your guitar and your pickups altogether. But if you must, at least we'll get a chuckle at your expense. You just sound like an idiot now.

Do you hang out with John Storm by any chance? ¯\(°_o)/¯

Right, and the notion that ESP makes a model of guitar out of a special wood that causes horrible clipping and sounds like shit defies logic. Do you not see the flaw in your logic? That one of the top five guitar companies (in sales) in the world would knowingly and continually (year after year) build a handicapped guitar? That one their top two endorsers wouldn't stop them and say, "Why is my name on this broken guitar?"?
Isn't wiring or operator error a million times more likely?

I don't want to add to the raping going on here lol, but I am extremely curious. Do you maybe have any recorded clips (that pun actually wasn't intended) I/we could hear?

That was a legitimate question.

Ammm dude, maybe because the guitar is/was hadicapted and they stopped makin' it... They stopped makin' it... why hmm? LOL

and it isn't clipping in a way that the sound is bad...it's not bad at all, but the signal in the studio, at my home or at friends house is the same... clipped. on 9v very much and on 18V not so much anymore...

...and I posted some clips in the 18V mod thread of mine...so check it out already.
