Yeah, we use FastTracker2, an old DOS-based software (freeware these days I think, 'cuz the group - Starbreeze - that developed the program has discontinued it and split up). It's nothing fancy, it's pretty sucky, actually, but we're too lazy to learn how to use another program.
The drums are free wavs that we've gathered from all over the net over a few years' course.
The problem with FT2 is that it converts all wavs into some obscure format, which means audio loss. I recommend getting one of those Win32 based trackers (if you want to do your drums with a tracker, that is), which can use genuine 16bit 44.1kHz wavs. Another minus is that FT2 doesn't stay in time - it lags a bit all the time. Not much, but still...
We're not going to make any more tracks with FT2. If we ever record something at home, we'll learn how to use Cubase or something similar.
