Graveland's best is Following the voice of blood. Don't like the epic-only stuff after that.

Hades: I only have Again shall be, which is pretty good but I don't spin it much.

Couldn't find any other thread, but has anyone spent any time with the new Morrigan? I'll admit, I've only ever listened to the first 2 Morrigan albums. They're ok I guess, I don't ever listen to them.

The new one, The Damned, however, sounds really cool. I've only heard the tracks "Boiling Blood" and "Carnal Desire" and I think they're both pretty excellent. How is the rest of the album?

....holy shit, I'm now listening to "Teutates Warcult". Sorry folks but this is truly excellent. I'm now anxious to hear the whole album.....

Furthermore, how were Celts, Headcult, and Welcome to Sahmain? Not that I'm in any rush, right now I want to focus on The Damned.

Headcult is their best. So damn good. Took the Bathory worship to new heights.
Samhain was a disappointment.
The Damned is a step back in the right direction

I found The Damned to be a bit disappointing because it sounds like they're moving away from the Black Metal-era Bathory influences. Still a solid album, but I honestly prefer Welcome To Samhain (though I may be the only one in the world to do so) because it's so stripped down and the influences are there. My rankings:

1. Plague, Waste, And Death
2. Headcult
3. Enter The Sea Of Flames
5. Celts
5. Welcome To Samhain
6. The Damned

It's odd that you say that. After listening to Headcult, it sounds like Hammerheart part 2. The Damned, however, is much more in the vein of pagan black metal. I listened to some of Celts too, damn that "Giants in Stone" song rules.

That sounds exactly right! I think that's why I like The Damned so much, it's got all those previous Bathory elements -- both black and viking -- plus a heavy dose of that pagan style riffery* we all seem to love so much.
