I don't know wtf are u talking about. Where do u get you info from. I don't think there is/was a singe country from the former eastern block that has much respect for russia. Not after what they put those countries through.
thanks 4 explaining what i meant.
and Celtic: its possible that the serbs respected russia B4 WW1 but thats a long time ago and i was actualy talking about time after WW2. how would u feel if everyone inyour country would wish just to have sth russian, because than it was good, in fact everyone tried to have things from the west, that was sth really gr8, but noone could say that, noone could say anything, it was just big russia here, big russia there, viva la moscau,...believe me, thats not live i wanna have and its also my reason why i cant respect russia as a country. anyway, where r u from?

i'm from Paris, France as it's said right under my name.
i am totally anticommunist and i do not approove of what was the USSR. i know they've done harm to the other countries they conquered and if they were still communist, i wouldnt appreciate the Russians as i do now. but i'll repeat.. again...(it seems like i really need to repeat over and over everything i say in this forum) that i admire the russian people's strength which was demonstrated throughout their history untill now. i'm sorry that i respect russians if it shocks you cause they've hurt ur people but thats just the way i feel. all people have done harm one time in their history, if we had to hate all countries who harmed others, we'd hate all of them.
tell me one country you like, just so i can say that it shocks me because that country obviously commited crimes at least once in its existence.

If you want to talk about USSR, listen to me please.
There were few people who really liked communism. Mostly all people were frightened by that government, because that government executed all people who rejected communism. It was really terrible times for our people, they had to do things that government made them to do, no one wanted to die... It is much better to have one tzar than a croud of communists in the government.

It is a known fact that Stalin killed more people than the nazis did, but somehow since the USSR were allies during WW2 people seem to forget this fact. So wearing a swastika is offensive but wearing the red star has become a trend amongst some teens. Totally illogical.

hell yeah belgar! thats what i've always been saying and thinking all around me! these dudes wearing these communist Tshirts are really so pathetic, and it doesnt shock anyone which is really weird.

Exactly! Sometimes I even draw communist stuff like the hammer and the sickle and stars and shit in school just because I can, seeing the total irony in the situation. But when I wanted to show a friend the Reichskriegsflagge (the one from the second reich) my teacher started busting my balls for it because "the nazis use it" and because there's an ironcross in it. I mean, the ironcross is like an equality symbol of social classes in war so wtf? We might as well make the cross illegal for all of the crimes commited in the name of god. Banning symbols.. I mean reealy.

which country i like? i like parts of countries, like canary islands, what have they done? how many people did they kill? i agree that lots of countries have done sth, but i can respect them, but there are also some countries i cant respect. if u want example, USA,germany, russia. i know that many other countries could do sth similar like colonies in africa under influence of england, or france, but i dont live there, but i have friends from there and they r not against that countries because they saw it helped them, but russian people didnt help, they've just destroyed. i respect what u think of russia, but i just can't agree. that's all.

You know, Russia is fucking strange country. Noone can understand us, even we can`t understand ourselves. It is funny to live in our country. We live in shit, but there is few people who wants leave Russia because it is our home. And our people should to live only in Russia, they must not migrate. We are strange people. And Russia should be our reservation.

no thats not strange for people to stay in their own country, actually thats normal. if you love ur country and people, why leave? i think that if i had the choice between living in the states and earning a lot of money or staying in france and earning twice as less, i'd still stay in france, or at least in europe, because thats where i belong.

It is not strange that most people don`t want to leave their countries. But we are strange people not because of this reason. We are just strange. Our style of living is strange, it is too hard to explain this idea, but it is so...

I really don't agree with you on this one. Communism was a necessary step in russia. The tsar created a society who was in favour of a very small, rich part of the population, and a lot of the russian people had a lot worse livingconditions before the communists took control. There is a reason why ideologies like communism exist in the fost place: The idea of an equal share for everyone is really good! You work after ability and recieve after need. The problem is that people will alway hunger for power and get corrupted, so practicallY speaking communism is a system of gouvernment that is doomed til drive itself down. Another negative aspect is the control the gouvernment has to have: Enormous amounts of paperwork just to control that everything is controlled. An the secret police, providing no freedom of speech for anyone. This was absolutely impossible in a huge country like the USSR. But, my point is really, that communism is a result of a bad standard of living among the working class in a country, and was in Russia a necessary step to dispose of the Tsar-regime, who repressed the people.

And, the communists didn't do everything wrong: The equal rights for all provided free school and decreased the analfabetism, something that ironically lead to a smaller revolution because people now were able to educate themselvs (Because they could read). Lenin and Stalins gouvernments also added to a larger buildup in the country's infastructure.

All systems of gouvernment are doomed to destroy themselvs, even democracy. It's just the best one we've discovered yet.

you dont need communism to have free schools and social security. in the US i dont believe that really exists (actually i dont really know), but in western europe at least there are equal rights for everyone to study in the best schools freely, we just need to be good enough to get into them. and we can have medical care without paying enourmous sums of money cause its mostly taken care of by our social security.
and although i'm not a capitalist, i believe that an equal share for all people is unfair paradoxically, in a sense that if you worked hard all your life you deserve more than a lazy dude who doesnt give a fuck.
and yeah democracy is doomed to destroy itself (like the greeks, the romans.. they faded away because of democracy's weakness)

That's not exactly what I meant. What I was trying to say was that communism provided schools for everyone, something that wouldn't necessarily have happened unless the communists had taken over. I'm not a communist, and I really don't believe that it is a good ideology, but many people tend to focus only on the negative aspects of it.

As for the last part of your post, in communism (theoretically speaking) there will be no lazy fucktards not working, because everyone has to work. (Work where the gouvernment tells them to.. No right to complain, that sucks)
