help band name needed (band name thread)- the actual post!

I tried posting this before but it went a bit wrong..

basically my band are getting close to playing live but..

They are not happy with the name My Own Silence.. they want it to be more catchy, more fresh i guess.

Trying to get a name thats even as good as Katatonia is hard work but its tricky...


So please any ideas.. listen to some of the tunes (most are just demo's but do reflect on older versions of what we are now playing, we sound more refined and laid back compaired to the tunes on myspace)

You could think of this as the Band name thread for Katatonia lovers!

The only suggestion I can give is make your name sound different from other band's. Frankly, words like 'Lost', 'Silence' etc have been done to death. Don't use them.

Try searching through literature, or other band's lyrics to find a good name. I'm sure you'll find one.

You could always try to form a little sentence.
Think of bands like "God is an Astronaut" or "Explosions in the sky"...
I don't know. I guess you can make a lot of combinations that sound good.
Just don't try to focus too much on the name.
Just focus on getting inspiration by doing stuff in the vein of what your music is all about
