So, basically this is my first mix since I bought a couple of gear and I reckon it's not sounding very well, but still I would appreciate the best of your criticism! Rate my tone, mixing, etc... but beware that getting a decent performance wasn't my main goal for this little riff, so ignore the lack of tightness.

Hey, it´s cool...add a bass guitar and a Dickinson and you nearly have kind of a powerslave maiden sound I like it. Put some reverb on the snare and make the snare more "far away" sounding. I really like the scales you use on the guitar!

cheers! Not influenced by maiden in any way, but nice to read how you interpreted it! glad you liked it. I was hoping someone could add some comments like "Tweak this and that, improve this or that" aside from reverb on the snare & performance, is there anything I can/should improve?

I know, dude...sometimes it happens absolute randomly. Your stuff has own style enough. I just listen to your test again..the doublebass at 00:05 / 00:06 sounds weird. I would use only one kick at this beat.

You need a bass. This will change the overall sound immensly.
