Hi all,

I'm glad I finally can present you my own band Amaranth.
You can find some mp3's on www.amaranth-music.tk
The trax are edited, as they are 14 and 8 mins long.

Amaranth music is mostly acoustic with clean vocals(and doomy atmosphere). Highly recommended for Anathema, acoustic Opeth and Saturnus fans(or some Empyrium as well).

I've already got positive reactions from Kim Larsen(ex-Saturnus/now in The Loveless) and Anneke van Giersbergen of the Gathering, so if that means anything... :)

Opinions welcome.

cheerz,
Danilo

Hej! I like ur stuff, but ur site looks awfully :p
I know, but better anything than nothing!
My friend has done it in a couple of mins actually, but only thing I care about it is ability for any1 to download the songs and actually hear what i'm saying(singing/playing).

Hey, could you please fix the lyrics page? As far as I could figure out from the songs they were pretty OK (I as a literature snob admit it). And of course, the music is very pleasant and tasteful - no acustic exxagerations.
Neat, neat.

dammit, i'm not sure when it will be fixed, so i'll post them here.

Silent

embraced by the night
crestfallen i am
standing here, all alone
i can't see the light

inflamed with yearning
i look at you with a sigh
i whisper your name
brought by starlit sky

embraced by the night
crestfallen i am
standing here, forlorn
i can't reach the light

afraid to step closer
into your nearness
i want to feel you deep
your fragile caress

i need you close
to enchant me with your smile
come with me
fade my silent cry

I understand the lyrics may appeal a bit 'cheesy' to some, but remind you these are written in october 1999 when i was 16 or sth.

thnx for listening

Spleen

the leaves are frozen,
they can hear my yearning.
as i wither,
they become my grave.
they fall to the ground,
they fall with no sound.
the snow keeps falling down,
winter silence surrounds me,
and lets me feel for the first time
bittersweet taste of your lips.
the virgin white rose,
december flower in my hands.
as i feel your gentle farewell kiss,
my grief grows stronger.
elysium fields seem to be so close to me,
so close to me...
let's drown together in this love,
let's touch eternity.
infinity...

(written in Autumn 1998)

Oh, thanks!

Hmm. *recalling what I wrote at the age of 16* *shrugging* ;)

Well, if seen as pure poems, it is unprobable that they will be awarded a Nobel prize...
But still, odd as they may seem, they form a perfectly homogenuos compound with the music - sound very fitting, that is. And after all, doom-hinted music requires a very special type of lyrics...

Moreover, they are not half as cheesy as those of Katatonia (may I be forgiven by all ardent fans, but quite a few Katatonia songtexts proved to be an astonishing poetic flop in the worst meaning of the term).

Btw, I enjoyed the "winter" imagery.

Guess it would be very impolite of me to bug you with literature help offers, so me shuts up.
