I think I took a train through Potsdam. I was surprised at how friendly they were to tourists in Germany, and throughout the countries I've visited. I didn't expect everyone to be Nazis or anything, that would be ridiculous. I'm sure there is a very slight minority of people who exist in Germany with that mindset, but I never ran into any problems. Just like here in the states, not everyone is in the Klan but there are people who are racist and such.
