I don't think it's that bad honestly. Yeah the kick sounds like shit but the rest is fine IMO. Maybe my ears are fucked cause of the beers I just drank too haha.

Haha. I only listened to the myspace versions and to me it sounded actually pretty good for a fidelman mix The low end is really fatiguing though...

The kick is kinda plasticy sounding but overall, I don't think it sounded that bad. Thats the kind of sound I expect for bands like this. Big, thick and sludgey.

As ermz said.. Its a really strange business. I would have done a better job. You would think that engineers working with those bands should be in Randy's class... I wonder what the guy did to be successful??

It doesn't sound bad, but for someone of his success it sounds quite bland. But I agree with Mr.Sneap, way better than Metallica or Slayer.


On a different note, I actually like this band! What the hell.

I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I really don't think it's that bad, and I tend to think that Fidelman is today's easy target for many, and with that status people are just going to not like what he's involved in anyways. He is obviously doing something someone likes as he continues to get big name work. C'est la vie.
