I don't know if I'm the only one, but I miss the old Symphony X bass player. Although LePond is totally amazing, and compliments the band great, I kinda miss that guy who always used a fretless and threw random bass solos in songs. :D

All you have to do is listen to "Live on the Edge of Forever" to know that Lepond can do whater Miller did, and then some.
 
I too like Miller better....it doesn't sound like he's playing a fretless though....he just had a really smooth, bassy tone.

I think he definately has more chops than LePond even though I think LEpond is an outstanding player.

Lepond adds a more aggressive riffing approach which I love though.
 
LePond can play anything Miller can play. I do agree that Miller was an excellent bassist, but LePond does an outstanding job so it doesnt matter to me.
