cool...as soon as xfer posted it (his brother is Toby from KD) I knew you'd be interested. I don't know anything about the Middle East club but apparently its two floors, and they'll be playing on the first.

Ya, they got a basement. My girl was asking me what floor it was on. Who is xfer?

from Robotic empire:
The Boston octuplet known as Kayo Dot has scheduled recording time in August for their followup to 2003's absolutely mindblowing debut Choirs of the Eye. They have secured a new drummer and will be embarking on a lengthy second full-US tour following the recording and more dates and info will come as soon as the details are fleshed out. This is going to be one of the most intense things we ever release and the excitement is damn near fatal here!

okay, Mia from KD posted this on Myspace:

Body: Hi everyone,

Wooo! Good news is that my band, Kayo Dot, is planning a tour for Autumn 2005!

Bad news is that we don't have a booking agent. We're trying to set this whole thing up without a booking agent and it's so amazingly tough! If anyone is able to help, please get in contact with me here for more info. It would be *SO* greatly, incredibly appreciated!

Not to be anal, but I'd like to stress how very important that we work with non-flaky people, because it would really suck going out so far for a show that's not happening, of course. So, if a show can be guaranteed, that would be awesome.

If it's useful, here's our online press packet:

ANY help would be very greatly appreciated.

thanks!!! <3

XO
Mia

yeah this made my day the other day but the rest of this tentative schedule is new. I'm convinced that Columbus can be a good city for this kind of show because of the huge size of the university. I've already got some inquiries in to the local alternative newspapers (one of which will allow me to post a free notice) and it would be really cool if a quarter page ad was affordable.

but at the very least I'll go down to campus and post flyers.

That is a really kickass thing to do. :)
