I would like to record my bass with a metronome backing. Which is the best software that is available that has a built in metronome? And I'm broke, is there any free sound recording software that's available? Download link?

Any decent reccording software will come with a built-in metronome, if you are against piracy, Audacity is the best free one:

Audacity is probably one of the worst free recording apps.

Reaper is probably the best.

Yeah but Reaper isn't totally free. As I said, everything is free on the net, but if he want something legal, Reaper is just a demo than you need to purchase it.

I used Reaper for around a year with full functionality before I purchased it... If you want to be totally legit, then yeah, it isn't free, but for $50 it kicks the ass of any recording program, unless you're paying ten times that much anyway.
