How are black people treated in the metal scene?

One of the worst things I see is when black people call other black people fake or tell them that they're "acting white" when they act conservative and/or behave responsibly. That is a stereotype that most definitely negatively impacts their community.

I think the true irony of the situation is that some of them call behavior somewhat resembling that of a civilized human being an exclusively white trait yet they get mad and call other people racist when they call them out on their misconduct. How is that helping their case? At all?

The term "Uncle Tom" also applies here.
 
That doesn't sound like a very gangsta name to me, I think you're fine. If you read something like D-Money, Smoothie, or Shifty, I'd be attending racial awareness classes if I were you though.
