I also have questions for people who are ready to jump on a needle of the 'promiseland' as they see it as a shield to all recent problems.
It's known that vaccines bring consequences years later, at least ones that are sort of 'new' and before we got good old anti-flu and others ones - there have been tons of cases of not very pleasant side effects. So basically you sign in as a lab rat.
The whole thing is way too recent to be certain about anything.
Also... don't mean to sound like a conspiracy expert - but how can we be sure this whole thing wasn't artificially made to then vaccinate and control people after all?
And here you are at a crossroads because on one hand there's unwillingness to be just another goverment's sheep but you're also cut out of every public experiences that you used to have living in society, so you can very well fo and go live in a forest.

While I'm not opposed to getting the vaccine, I wouldn't be first in line for it, either. I'd really like to know beforehand if I've already had Covid because if I have, I had no symptoms. In that case, I would wait, if possible. I could still get it again/have no symptoms/give it to others who might die from it, but hopefully the vulnerable would already be vaccinated.

Related thoughts -- Since we've been cooped up and masked up for almost 9 months, I haven't had even a slight cold. Worries me a little bit that my immune system hasn't had to fight off anything for so long. I'm no expert, but I would think a little "exercise" for the immune system now and then is beneficial and important. *eats dirt*

That's my general feeling on the matter. I had typed up a long, serious response and realized that it's probably going to be fruitless in anything except generating antagonism. I've argued enough with people on Facebook and that's not what I want to do here.

This has been a nice burst of activity though and it would be nice if we could get that going in the music threads again.

Only a fool is rigid in his opinions. If our gov't (lol) can come to an agreeable solution that curbs the infections while allowing people to work and live as they see fit ('Murica), I will support it without argument even if it means wearing a fucking gay ass mask.

However, our govt, CDC, WHO, and whoever else changes shit on the daily. States are making up random orders, all the while people are suffering with no end in sight.

can you please explain the mechanisms by which a vaccine would allow a government to control an individual

also isn't the point of governments administering a vaccine to the populace to relinquish some of the control they currently have and allow people their freedom back?
