How bad do your socks smell after a full days wear?

The odor also seems to stem from the type of shoe that is worn. When I wear my shitty dress shoes to work, I come home with socks reeking like Rhonda. So how do you manage to smell nice after hockey? I always manage to smell like RiA's socks after sweating in the same shit on a regularly basis. My bike armor is the same.

I dont sweat. well I do, but very little.
I've had the same skates, pads, gloves and shit for years and they dont smell. hell, even my jock doesnt smell.

Usually I wear my socks two days except if I've been walking around without shoes all day in some unscrubbed apartment.

I sweat a clean Krigloch esque dew, which is why I need to get to the bottom of this dress shoe odor. I wear sneakers to the gym w/o socks and the shoes pick up very little odor after a 10 piggy market spree. So tell me, why the fuck do they pick up such an unpleasant redolence when I wear these poor man soles?

Ventilation can not be the single element at work here.

usually, people's feet don't stink ... its the combination of the type of sock material and shoe you wear.

buy socks that have as much Cotton in them as possible (at least 80-100%) stay away from silk, polyester and other blends. polyester especially! mix polyester with dress/casual shoes and a long day ... bam ... foot bomb

dress socks are a big culprit of foot stink ...

even good ole tube socks can have weird material blends ... and again these plus non venitlating sneakers ... fuhget about it.

I wear black socks exclusively. Though, I'm not quite certain whether they would qualify as "dress" socks. I'm also not sure what the cotton ratio are to these feet condoms. Given your expertise on the subject, I'd say they fall under the 80% cotton criteria.

I was looking for this option. When I wear my boots and it's been a hard day, my feet will kill anything in the room. If I'm wearing my tennis shoes or whatever, it's not too bad.

also depends on the socks. I have some Champion socks that are really tight and stick to the feet.
