Canada!!!
I always wondered this, and I would really like to know because I have 3 videos (VHS) of full shows of bands I have played in, 2 of my old band Sound Corruption and 1 of my newer band Without Judgement, and I would really like to be able to put them on my computer or make a dvd or something. What kind of hook-ups or machines do you need? Has anyone here done this?

You'd need a tv card and then I believe you can use cables aslong as the audio and video inputs match.

I'm not 100% sure though.

Something like This is what you'll need. Since you live in Canada, it shouldn't be hard finding a vendor that sells one of these. Just search for a vendor that delivers to Canada.

Just slip the VHS tape into the VHS Burner that any newer computer should have, then proceed to rip it like you would a cd.

:err:

depends on what you have for a computer. the ones here on campus are a vhs/mini dv tape player that have firewire output jacks. you could use a regular vcr w/ rca adapters (the red/white/yellow plugs) but youd need to buy a video card (i believe) with rca inputs.

just bring it to your highschool/college tv station....they should have ther equipt to pull it off

I was just being a complete smartass... I had and have absolutely no knowledge of this subject, however I am well versed in the art of acting like a complete dumbass.
