its one of the most pathetic genres of music next to rap. It usually consists of teenage guys, playing acoustic guitars, and attempting to sing/crying halfway through the song about how their girlfriend dumped them 3 years ago and they cant get over it......and its annoying as hell, because my sister likes some emo, and so i have to listen to it when she gives me rides
