On gigantour? Are they considered co-headliners, or just another guest?

The nearest date for me is about 2 hours away so I want to make sure its worth it. I dont really care for any of the other bands besides Megdeth to drive 2 hours for. :)

I was under the impression that they would only have a 40/50 min set, which is like 4-5 songs

yeah I'd say they'll get 45 minutes. Not long enough for me to spend the 800 dollars to get my ass to Denver. I'll be missing this one.

Predicted setlist:

Ghost of Perdition
Leper Affinity
Serenity Painted Death
Advent
Deliverance
Demon of the Fall

Hopefully they'll have enough time to play this much.

what are you on man
Advent no way will they play it!, youll def get Grand... Closure and Deliverance, as well as probably white cluster

I think they have a decent rotation of songs. When they headline, it seems that they add/subtract 3 or 4 different songs from the previous tour, which I think is pretty cool of them.

For a shorter set like this one I'm expecting/hoping for 5 songs. Probably

GOP
Drapery Falls
TGC
Deliverance
Demon of the Fall

or maybe they'll surprise us with something a little different, but I'd still be happy with those.

On a tour like this they're trying to appeal to a larger fan base, so don't anticipate any unexpected tunes that would appeal to us Opeth obsessed fans. For example, I'm not expection UTM or When, but anything is possible. We'll find out soon enough

Serenity Painted Death would be awesome. I've still yet to see that one live.

This was their setlist at wacken:

The Grand Conjuration
The Amen Corner
The Leper Affinity
Closure
Deliverance

I'm guessing they won't change.

They need a whole setlist of songs they rarely ever play live instead of the same ones over and over, one nobody would predict.

I think they have had that set list on every festival this summer. I saw two festival gigs where they played those songs, and one longer set which contained those songs + Ghost Of Perdition and White Cluster, so i think they will stick woth this one.
