How long of a set will Opeth play?

I have yet to attend any Opeth concert and it's one of my favorite songs. You wonder why they use it as an encore.

There is a pretty good chance for The Leper Affinity. Anything works really....they can switch to another Damnation song though. Closure is getting a bit played out.

Yeah, I for one would love to hear that set (maybe switch Baying with harlequin Forest though), but all the fans going for Lamb Of God and Arch Enemy would probably leave or bitch thorughout the whole thing and ruin the set.


as most said, theyll probably play a set which resembles their tour setlist this time around...i doubt theyll play any songs they didnt play on the tour.

I agree, but you can count on Deliverance, grand and closure, so that really limits when your playing 4, 5 songs tops

Why can't they fucking get rid of Grand already, it sucks, and certainly won't get them any new fans. Opeth8 is almost definitely right about the setlist though, I just think (hope?) they may substitute Grand with Ghost of Perdition. I think they've gotten enough negative reaction for Grand, and I think Roadrunner putting a 6:45 version of Ghost of Perdition on that "best of newest roadrunner stuff" cd indicates that.

I agree, i really dont like Grand, but its pretty much a staple part of their set, if it were up to me theyd play 75% Orhid and Morningrise

The problem with releasing TGC to new comers is that its not a song that shows how 'special' opeth are.
