How much alcohol would it take to kill you?

It doesn't take ANYTHING into consideration besides weight and generic genderside spesifications

It's so vague that it can't honestly be taken seriously :p

But it does state "over a 3 hour period of time"

And if you cant take 3 vodka shots over a 3 hour period, you might want to get a checkup on your internal organs :p

^True.

On topic, 19 shots of tequila or 9 shots of absynthe. I'm sorry but that's fucked up, one of my favourite drinks is tequila+absynthe+blue mixing thing put together in a jar and I can easily take 3 of those, and that's far over 9 shots of absynthe. THAT SHIT IS FUCKED UP SIR!

They speak about 1/3 liter beer bottles I hope (for I couldn´t imagine having 9 liters of beer - or any other drink - in three hours ) 6 liters would be 1 bottle every ten minutes, that´s still hard but not beyond imagination. I guess that calculator makes more sense for stronger alcoholics...

No, he's a normal guy. If you can't go get your liver checked, seriously. Not intending to underrate Leandro, but 2L of wine is not that much.

I guess its assumed you've never drank before, and have the strength of an adorable kitten.

Bingo.

A 1/3L bottle each 10 minutes is not that much actually at least till the 3rd litre. Well, if it's 1/3L off straight vodka then it probably is , but not beer. Not for me at least :p I'm not an alcoholic lady!

You wrote: "I guess that calculator makes more sense for stronger alcoholics..."

and then: "I'm not an alcoholic lady!".

You're a girl right?

If what you mean is that not having the coma (I'm not an alcoholic, lady!) makes it sound weird yeah, I noticed that too now,

If not, notice I put a "" after all to (in case it wasn't clear) show I was joking.

Uh now I realise... I´m so sorry!!! I totally failed, I meant alcoholic drinks! Hard translation error  Urgh sorry guys, I never supposed y´all to be alcoholics (nor you to be a lady, just to point that out ;))

It said I can't take over 17 glasses of wine, or 2.2 liters. Well, I have, and I'm still here.

At Download festival a friend of mine drank 9 litres of wine. It was absolutely hilarious, he was absolutely fucked. So amazing. Plus after he was like "I'm fine, I think I'll go for 12" (he passed out before he made it) lel.

The next day he didn't even have a hangover. A true man

Wine's pretty good for hangovers, I never get hangovers from wine. Totally different story when you start adding stuff (see vodka/absynthe/rhum/...) too it though

Don't worry, I was just joking around, long boring summer evening was going on today ;)

I got drunk on Wine, beer and some stronger stuff. (Vodka i think...i dont remember). I had the worst hangover ever....

In this case, both  I had a really good time but i puked all over the bus and lay incapacitated in hangover to 4 PM next day

On-topic : It would take 17 shots of Vodka to kill me or It would take 19 bottles of Beck's to kill me  Sound's reasonable.

^You're gonna have to prove that over Christmas evil finn, ticket up there is 200€ if I book it in advance, so may have me around for that time :kickass:

^^That "mixing alcohol is bad" thing is bullshit  I mix every single weekend and the only thing that has an effect on if I have a hungover the next morning is the amount of alcohol I take :)

wtf  You guys must be drinking some really expensive wine. get drunk off cheap wine and then dare to tell me that you're not hungover the next day.

0'50€ each tetrabrik (1L) is expensive? Wouldn't say so  Too cheap rhum/vodka/whiskey does give extremely bad hungover though. Dunno you people but here we have the really cheap line (around 5€ the bottle, crappy crapy crappy ones, from the supermarket's own brand) which will kill you the following morning, then the cheap line (7-10€ the bottle; here you'd find Absolut, Jameson, Ballantines, Finlandia, Brugal...) and then the OMG expensive line (over 13€; here you'd find Jack Daniels, Chivas, Cacique extraOMGold, weird russian vodkas, etc...). With the cheap line and the expensive line you're good to go, but if you're on a tight budget and go lower, beware the next morning  Eating something and drinking shitloads of water before going to bed helps soften the morning though.

and this I don't believe.

I swear on my life, I have never met anyone like him. I barely know him but all his other friends say he has never once had a hangover. He's a pretty big mother fucker (tall not fat) so that probably helps him some.

well yeah. anyone can drink one beer, have one shot, and one glass of wine and be fine the next morning. But I meant when you're actually drinking, lol. As in you're partying with your friends or something. then of course you would have had too much of each and then face the consequences.

whoa, Jameson and Finlandia are not considered "cheap" over here. I mean, it's not like buying Grey Goose or Belvadere, but it's still not cheap. and seriously fuck JD. I don't get why they charge so much for it when it tastes like pure shit. Chivas and Black Label are qualified to be at the higher price. and yes, good advice on the drinking water and eating soemthing before bed. water helps the dehydration caused by the excessive intake of alc.

 I'm not talking of one beer and one shot, that doesn't even get you drunk. I'm talking about drinking, like drinking during a whole Saturday night. Take my last Saturday: I had 2L of wine, around 1L of vermouth (cheap one, but pretty tasty) and 1/3L vodka. No hangover.

But previously on Friday, I had over 2L of whiskey and next morning I wanted to smash my head against the wall.

Well, drinks here in Spain are reeeeeeeeeeally cheap, that's why Jameson or Finlandia are around 10€. I said cheap compared to how it's around in other countries, but here people consider them really expensive
