this is the ultra-channel (the Crunch Channel is easier to record, but my task is to get kickass results from the ultra).

Metaltastic: I know you'll never love any JSX clip, cause you just don't like the charakter of the amp (and I can't argue about taste)....but I consider myself the winner when/if I get a tone that you think is decent

(I know, there's some boomy low-end....am too lazy to re-reamp now )

I'd say you've got a decent modern metal tone there! apart from a little boominess in the low end there's nothing wrong with it. I prefer the crunch channels character but this sounds really usable, especially for modern stuff.

I think if you fix the pumping low-end, this is probably the best JSX tone I've ever heard (at least on my shitty 5€ heaphones I have here)...

I think it sounds very useable! Pretty tight and semi-smooth highs. Just gotta fix that WROOOOOOOM in the low end and try it in a quick mix to get a feel for it

Not bad, though; there's nothing I can say I overly dislike about it (mainly, it's not very metallic), but it doesn't do anything for me beyond that - I guess I would say totally adequate!
