My own interpretation: barman/barmaid work there and had to, before the law, endure the secondary smoke of others which has been proved to be as deadly as direct smoke. This law is there to enforce good health to these people, then us.SSJ4SephirothX said:

Here in Seattle they just passed a law banning smoking in any public place. You must be at least 25 feet away from any businesses doorway to smoke. No one ever goes that far away though.
To me, having to deal with someone else's smoke is the equivalent of being pissed on. It's gross and disgusting and unsanitary and I shouldn't have to worry about it when I go out to have a good time, so I'm glad this law is in effect. Although, EVERYONE that goes to a bar has to piss at some point or another and they have special rooms for people to do that. Why can't they make special rooms for the smaller number of people that want to smoke their cigarettes, too?

I don't smoke (anymore) and don't care if someone does. ppl come to my house and smoke, if I go out I float in smoke. here it's normal that people smoke, just the way they drink.

iv been a hard smoker for 7years i smoked like a pack of shag in 3 days at the end, now iv already quite for almost a year i just one day stopped smoking and it felt good no more pain in the chest i feel more active and im not addicted anymore...bein addicted is a pain in the ass and it saves me a lot of money now.
but i do now know what is to smoke after dinner or at a bar and it feels so good so i dont care if any1 smokes around me, i dont think it smells good now but i still dont care...

i'd rather die before i reach 60 anyway, I dont want to be all old and rinkly with tons of health problems and someone else wipeing my ass for me.
