I don't find Stormcrowfleet to be depressing as such...

...on the contrary, it sounds haunting & epic. It is like the royal crowning procession of Thulsa Doom!!!

In that regard, it is unlike any other Skepticism release.

yeah, no other Skepticism album sounds like it. And yes, I don't find it depressing, just the ultimate kickass.

thought it was maybe a band or something...

It is the echoing drums and church organ that rules Skepticism. After the two minute drum intro to "March and the Stream", the first sound of the organ is pretty unnerving.

I think the most depressing thing about this band is the lyrics. Not sure which of you ignore lyrics, but it's worth taking the time to read Skepticism lyrics, trust me. It's poetry.

This thread is getting so much love! So much indepth discussion on the intracacies of Skepticism!! Who would have thunk it? It's difficult to keep up!!! :tickled:

Oh well, back to lizard's thread on gook midgets playing judo with a lion. :loco:

I have no fucking clue who any of these bands are, except Noltem. Oh and Erik battled sea monsters (via plane) to go see Skepticism. [/my knowledge on the subject]

Skepticism lyrics are beautiful... some of the best ever written in my opinion. It would be a waste of everyone's time for me to further explain them- just buy and album and read the lyrics! This band has such an incredible effect on me... I might even be naming the Noltem EP after one of their songs in tribute... OMG STICK AROUND TO FIND OUT WHICH SONG!!!1

Speaking of The March and the Stream, am I the only one who thinks the Ethere version is better then the full-length version?

No, I think that you're right. Speaking of such things, I think that the "Aeothe Kaear" versions of "The Everdarkgreen", "Pouring", and "The Rising of the Flames" versions are better than the ones on Stormcrowfleet. I mean, there aren't a lot of differences or anything, but it just sounds more "right" to me. Whatever, Skepticism is 5243/10 anyway.
