They are, but when you realize it just takes hard work, not inhuman skills, and that there are lots of other guitar players as good or even better out there, the mythology kind of breaks to a more mortal level of understanding.

Somewhat contradictory there.

They're special compared to the whole spectrum of guitarists in this world, sure, but when compared to actual serious guitarists, not really.

But anyway, it's Alexi's composing I like (or, well... did like), and that's why I listen to CoB.
 
Alexi took alot of the earlier songs he made and used riffs and keys from Wolfgang mozart and even on "Wrath within" is based off alot of riffs that stone used so even his earlier stuff had influence from roope i guess people don't know that. But Alexi seems too much about himself nowadays with his shit clothes line Wildchild indrustries $40 for a shirt with one of the shittest designs i've seen, no thanks! but Alexi Laiho is an amazing guitarist still just seems to have lost track of what really matters.

I think it's safe to say that Roope loves playing music for a living, and anyone who does and is able to make that happen doesn't really care if they're in the spotlight or getting enough solos or if they're "better" than someone else. Excellent point.
In every interview I've watched, Roope seems very humble and to be truly enjoying what he's doing. Watching the interviews on Chaos Ridden Years, I get the idea that he was somewhat amazed to be in a band that has become as popular as COB has.

And the very much solos in the Consert. Alexi got like 2 mins to do some solos, the drummis got some time aswell and the same with the kboard. But Roope gets like 10 sec then alexi comes in on the scene. WHY THE FUCK? LET ROOPE PLAY, OOOOOhh im sorry, Alexi will get to Jelous. Stupid idiot.

I don't think Roope is feeling bad, he looks like happy and enjoying.
Alexi is the frontman. The Ram, the leader, of course the camera will following him more than others.

ffs yea i mean, roope is in this 5 years playing what alexander did so dont compare the credit roope has and deserves to alexi. alexi did everything children of bodom is and deserves all the credit. children of bodom solos are alexis and jannes role and if theres space for 2 or 3 solos of roope until now its only because of the respect alexi has for roope being such an amazing guitarrist and experience he has. otherwise he wouldnt have even 1 solo like alexander didnt had. roope knows what his position is about, he is the rythm guitarrist and he accepted and he looks to be enjoying playing for children of bodom this way, so i dont understand your problem man. stop going to foruns drunk ffs
