I like my phone for one reason... to call buddies and find out where they are to plan something. I also send text messages because they are less personal and I can ask them a quick question without the awkward part when they answer the phone. Since I broke up with my woman, I use my fore 90% less and I like it. Plus my phone is a good watch.
I don't like phones for conversations through text messages, and for having a discussion mainly because I can't see their expressions and sometimes sarcasm is missed, and without sarcasm I don't have any humor.

I had to ditch msn after about 2 weeks
it was just irritating, for the 3-4 useful constructive comunications I had it was just constant hellos + whatcha doings...no time for such crap

I have a ton of people on MSN, most of them I rarely talk to, but I keep them around for those times I do.
Bunch of people from school, people I used to work with, people I just lke to keep in touch with once in a while.
I also keep in touch with most of my good friends
I killed the sounds and popups, so it's more like a text messaging service for free, "hey man, wanna hang out" rather than a chat service. Though i use it for that too.
