With spoken word tests like these, you could probably say pretty much any widely used mic sounds "90% the same" unless it's something you ripped out of a five-buck walkie talkie. The differences become more apparent when they're used in the proper context, eg. stacked and used in a mix.
The good old 57 can handle vocals just fine, but it doesn't mean it's close enough to an SM7b to replace it.
