Saturnus - Loss (In Memoriam)

And in the night I often turn to the starres
this diamond lake of tears
and I think back
when you and I were one
Under this...
...this desolate sun

This part doesn't really add up, does it?

I like Saturnus very much, but their lyrics are, well, I really want to like them, but it ain't happening too often, only fractions. "Love is dead and thou art free" (but they didn't write that themselves).

I fully agree with you. I also like Saturnus' music a lot, but to me there isn't really much sense in most of their lyrics either (I'm just thinking of "Christ Goodbye"...: "[...] Christ flashes before my eyes with empty face [...] The whore of life delicious irresistable, blood red sheets full of lust. Every man has a dragon heart upon his own dusty shelf [...]")
Well, I posted the lyrics of "Loss" because they seemed to fit in here pretty well with all these other overly-sentimental, cheesy lines...;)

Miss You More

Will I be here endlessly
Without a firm sense of identity
In a world that left me cold and empty
In a world that left me cold and empty
I'm about to lose my hold
Come alive and take me far
So alive come take me far and near
'cause the morld will leave you cold and empty
'cause the world will leave you cold and empty
I'm about to lose control

Won't you come alive
And take me down your trail
Hold me close before it's too late
Come alive and lead me all the may
(I miss you more than home)
Hold me close before it's too late

When your colors start to fade
All your colors fade away I pray
That your love
Won't keep me cold and empty
That your love
Won't leave me cold and empty
I'm about to lose my hold.

Or "death is when life turns into art" :yuk: .

Hope history won't repeat itself and I'll have Thomas AG on here bitching about it :loco: .

That image of christ walking around saying goodbye to the world was stuck in my mind for a while though, not that the lyrics are that amazing, but the idea is kind of sad.

Sorry to all, TV2 lyric translation coming (It's late, I ain't tired, Antimatter dl is taking forever and I'm waiting for the Broncos score are my excuses :loco: ), it's short anyway :) :

The Lantern

Oh, oh I'd like to
light, light your lantern
-love you

But I, I am no star
And all, all would like to
-love you

Thinking of you
Dreaming of you
Waiting for you
Until all
is over

:erk: , I can't translate Brandt probably, no one can.

still problems with sleeping?

Well, I got that fixed for a month or so, now I'm pretending I'm on vacation for a week or so (should be studying for exams in January), fucking it up again. It's ok though, have to get on a train tomorrow to travel pretty much the longest distance possible in my tiny country, spending christmas with my dad and sister, so I have to get up.

I'm affraid the biggest problem is I kind of enjoy these nights, I was going to take a walk in that snow storm they had promised, but all we're getting is rain :( .

Well, I don't belive in Christ anyway. I felt more disgusted by those "bloodred sheets..." :yuk:

These long nights are wonderful... Outside the storm is raging (no rain, but no snow either:( ), while inside it's warm and cosy - although I like the idea of taking a walk out there, getting my head cleared by the storm...:Spin:

"blood red sheets full of lust" :p , that is disgusting, never really paid attention to that. Now I probably can't overlook it, pity, I liked that track  .

I don't much believe in christ either, but the idea was haunting me for a while.

"Christ Goodbye" is one of my favourite Saturnus songs actually - not because of the lyrics, but because of its intensity. Sometimes, you better don't pay attention to a song's lyrics...:ill:

What is haunting you tonight...:)?

Oh, my goodness, that song brings up my most shivery concert experience ever, when Danny played solo in Budapest, and he played this song. Some people from the audience had been singing along softly throughout the songs, but when he played this one, he sorta "let" the audience sing the repetition, he sang "I still feel the pain", then he waved at us and the audience went "I still feel the pain", Danny: "I still feel your love", audience: "I still feel your love". It was  and o_O at the same time. Something new started then.

...I cried along the whole concert and even wanted to go out because of the pressure, but someone didn't let me out (thanks, I didn't do the mistake of running out again as I did on the Island festival in 2001).
Hmm, *he*s the one *I* miss...

well, about seeing ppl I haven't met long ago, in 5 minutes I run not to be late, to see an ex-classmate I haven't met for awhile and I'm happy to see him.
another happy example; on Friday a friend of mine took me to see some black metal festival, and there I met a guy I haven't seen for 2 years and I was sooo happy :) I didn't even expect people there who know me :)
