i steal this idea from Dan... next nevermore album should be produced by Devy

that would rule.

i can't stand sneap, every band he produces sounds the same.

all this being said, DNB is my absolute favorite production on any metal album ever, go back with Kernon please.

shit's in E flat and it sounds heavier than every other nevermore album, the palm mute in the beginning of death of passion when speakers all but crumble, that's where it's at.

Ah, I can envision Devy getting a similar wall-of-noise guitar tone (such as that of 'Alien') for Nevermore; although I'm not sure it would suit them.

Intriguing idea, at least.

he definately wouldn't give them a SYL type sound, since nevermore don't really fuck with keyboards and samples but I think he would do a great job focusing them and getting the best out of the songs, especially Warrel.

there's funny clips with darkest hour in the studio where devy is making the fat guitarist record the riff over and over again because he can't stay on beat, then later on they rock out to summer of 69 and drink whiskey.

darkest hour suck, but yeah, recording with devy I assume is rewarding in all kinds of ways

I can just imagine lots of things happening sonically with Devin at the helm. Both WD and DT seem to enjoy layering vocal parts, so of course that would sound amazing. And I usually like the way Devin produces guitars etc.

I also think with all the layering ( of everything ) that Devin Does, he will also leave lots of room for all the instruments to breathe and find their own space.

I think I remember telling this idea to Warrel one time in Seattle...
