I wrote a song during an IT lecture

i had written everyhing in the conford of my bed

That's where I do most of mine, but this one time I suddenly thought up of a really good tune, and wrote it down. It took some doing to work out what notes there were and where to play them. I haven't actually tested it yet, but I think it will be good.:D

When I am drunk i tend to write lyrics (attemp to anyway) in the oddest of places. Just about anywhere really....in a corner of some stranger's house, a bathroom, in a public place....etc... It is just that the lyrics seem so cool at the time. Then when i wake up sober they are not that great :D

Sadly I cannot write music. However, I do write lyrics or maybe I should call it poetry.

For me, especially lately, it's more defined my the moment, than by the place. I've been repeating this again and again, but I'll say it here - the best place to compose is far away from your instrument, in pure silence - I'm sure each one of you has some places you enjoy to visit, just to feel the aura, to open yourself and let beauty step to the foreground. Then, comes inspiration.

On the other hand, I've written a lot of tasty stuff on guitar or piano, cause I'm becoming petter at playing.

With the lyrics it's kinda strange lately, I'm being inspired by things like jams in elevators, old, ugly and faceless walls and buildings, strings of text I catch on TV for a second before they disappear, things like that...

NP: Nick Cave - Let Love In

I once wrote a very Iron Maiden -esque twin guitar lead in a dream. Afterwards I have been cursing myself for not writing it down, since it was really good as I recall it, and now it's probably lost forever.

I wrote a really cool weird timing riff will watching a bboooooring video about frogs in australia in my science class. The riff is played in like 5 time signatures, it goes from 5/4 then 6/8 then 5/4, 6/8, 11/8, 12/8, then finally 7/8. Pretty weird hehe :goggly:
