Iced Earth Tour Reviews

I'm surprised by the so-so reviews of IE. At one time it would have been considered blasphemy to rate them less than a 9/10.

We're thinking of seeing them in Chicago at the Metro on the 14th. But, given these reviews, I'm wondering if it'll be worth it -- especially if Into Eternity isn't the warm up this time around.

Who is Early Man, the warm-up band for their gig that night? Are they any good?

I'm not that familiar with Divine Heresy, either. Are they worth seeing?

No idea on early man (local maybe?), but I like Divine Heresy quite a bit. They are an odd pairing for this tour though. They feature Dino from Fear Factory on guitars, and Tim Yeung on drums. They had some lame metalcore singer that they fired a while back... no idea what the new guy sounds like. I would have gladly traded IE for Divine Heresy.

Divine Heresy is not on the tour anymore, and from what I have heard about Early Man, I have heard they are pretty comparable to earlier Megadeth, if thats the case, I am sold on them already, haha. I'll definitely be at the show on the 13th of Nov, as part of my drunken 3 day birthday celebration, hah. Get this for a birthday present:

Iced Earth Nov 13th
New Bond Movie Premier right after the show at Nathan's theatre
Heathen Crusade Day 1 Nov 14th
Heathen Crusade Day 2 Nov 15th (my birthday)

I hope some of you actually come to these things, as I want to be reminded of what happened but I will fail to remember... :loco:

When did Divine Heresy leave the tour? They're still listed on IE's MySpace page as being part of the gig. If DH isn't on the tour anymore, then it's just Early Man and IE (unless a bunch of local bands play, too). That would be okay with me. I usually don't like warm-up bands.
