if i were a cartoon character

Toby, years ago my cousin had cichlids and i myself purchased one by accident.

they are indeed the meanest fish in the history of fish.

that doesn't imply that i condone your behavior. you are about to become fish haunted, son.

okay why did this turn into a 'be mean to animals' thread?
and also, i never understood why pet store people didn't explain that cichlids are just NOT good tank companions. i had a red oscar who was like 12" long for like, 13 years almost! but he ate any other fish nearby. they're just not friendly tank mates.

If I became fish haunted all I would have to do would be try to feed some other ghost and the ghost cichlid would get diverted by trying to steal the food from like every other ghost in the room.

the reason i don't like dogs is actually because i dislike meanness to animals. dogs bite me and chew and i have to kick or punch them to get them off me, and dogs are fragile. i could really hurt them! so i hate that dogs (or dog owners, whatever) put me in the position of having to smack a toothy violent dog.

my dad has always adopted abused dogs so like, we'd get them and they'd be so mean. i have scars on my arms from vinnie attacking me! but we'd force ourselves on them literally and then they turn into really friendly happy dogs and it is all worth it really. however, i find it bizarre that you have all these bad dog experiences since like, 90% of all dogs are happy and friendly.

i just find, and i am not really saying this to sound funny it's just the truth as sad as it is, that i relate to animals better than i relate to people. so anyone who is like 'oh there's a dog there? i'm not going' or who sits there and frets about being at my apartment because they'll get covered in cat/rabbit hair gives me the creeps. i just picture them as a child in a closet somewhere torturing a hamster. it just give me a weird sketchy feeling like i cannot relate to that person at all and there's something that will scare me about them.

well, perhaps i was unlucky enough to have a couple of bad dog experiences early on, and then i consciously stayed away from dogs after that, so the only subsequent dog experiences i had were those intrusive, aggressive dogs who give all dogs a bad name?

so i like animals in general and especially cuties and reptiles (even though i am allergic to kitties, i'll suck up the itchy eyes and neck), but i would avoid dogs, and no it does not mean i torture hamsters!

:( that stinks because honestly dogs are so great and they are totally worth knowing. it bums me out.
like, you're avoiding an entire SPECIES. that's just like, sad isn't it?

thanks for nothing!
