If it's Biden I'm voting...

I think they're the same. They both want to expand powers, to diminish my rights, and to quell any criticism of what they do.

i dont make much money, but i am ALL FOR the bums and whiners moving the Canada and Europe to get their free socialist bullshit that they pay out the ass for anyway and then maybe America could get back on track with hard work and personal responsibility like it used to be!

I felt the same way for a while, until I realized I was paying only 8% more in taxes here than in the US. Scandinavia is a bit different and a little higher, I believe, but they live on a welfare system and can basically get money from the government any time they want.

Emperor bought all their instruments from money given to them from the government for an "arts grant" or some shit like that.

but see, america is too big and with too many worthless bums for shit like that to work here.

This is exactly right. It would be a great idea and I know many Americans would love a system like that, but there are just too many baby mamas and welfare sponges to make it work. Too many people, not enough capital.

Well, it could be done, but we'd have to sacrifice a lot of our presence in the world and severely draw down our military.

I am of the opinion that serious abusers of welfare should be barred from it and forced into a work program that they either stay with or lose their kids. If the Gov did THAT, I'd like them more.

It's all about what you want really because it adds up to the same thing in terms of overall resources. Most people have it semi-good in scandinavia, most of europe etc. while the U.S. simply chooses to let the rich go first in line. I still prefer high taxes and support from society over countries where you're basically left cold to fight no matter how much money you have to start with. Because that is the diving line unless you have at least some social security and free education etc.

I knew what you meant. It's my job to respond in the predicted manner. What say you on my work enforcement?

I'd actually like to see a draft, though. I'm not into the whole government tells you what to do, but there really are too many stupid kids these days that need to wake up.

I think it would do the youth culture good. It's not like Vietnam or anything, and I presume it would be somewhat similar to Italy's draft before they ended it. 9 months service, then yer out. There are always exceptions like college scholarships and stuff which would exempt you from service. Most draftees could be kept in the US unless they wanted to deploy, freeing up the full time military to do what it needs to do, and therefore would put an end to "do more with less".

GOD FORBID!

I see what you're saying and I partly agree with it, but I really don't see anyone else stepping up to the plate anytime soon. Not that I WANT to keep our military spanned across the globe for eternity, but I think you have to realize that the rest of the world doesn't have the ability...well, they have the ability, they just don't have the gumption to do something in a time of crisis.

I'd LOVE to see the US go in as peacekeepers somewhere and let the EU take over hostilities. The US would probably end up doing both jobs ourselves, anyway.
