Back on topic for a sec, I was wondering today why people are so fickle.

Why do people do a complete 180 when the politician they're pulling for says something they don't agree with? Why do candidates have to tiptoe around every single issue and try not to offend anyone? Are people really that stupid and in need of leadership to the point they can't disagree with one single thing and still support the candidate? Are Americans really that much like sheep?

These polls make the American people look like a bunch of idiots who will believe anything someone tells them, as long as they agree. Please tell me this isn't the case and that there is a flaw somewhere.
