I get that hitting someone with baton unprovoked makes someone a bastard regardless of gender. However, I think striking a female, who by default can't defend themselves, is especially repugnant. If she had been trying to stir some real shit by all means give a good wallop, but no need for the whole riot squad getting their licks in.
