Sorry for being such a ignorant fool, but just what did happen on the Anathema forum? I have an idea after reading a few of the Anathema regulars posts, but I am curious as to why the band would shut the whole damn forum down?

And really someone needs to tell Anathema to listen to Judgment and ALternative 4 again--build on that sound; and forget the last two mistakes. But hey, almost every band puts out medicore crap sometime in its career.

Danny said there'd be a new forum in connection with their new site, he'd had people complain about certain people on the UM one and seemingly got sick of it.

As for the A4/judgement thing, a lot of people would say that's about the biggest leap Anathema has taken from one album to another (not necissarily meaning a positive one) so you categorising them together seems sort of odd to me.

I lumped the two albums together, becuase they are both quite excellent and unique; unlike the last two. I dont see why it is such a big deal to admit a band you like put out a few shitty albums?

I think the forum closing was absolutely unrelated to the fans admitting or not if A Natural Disaster is "shitty" or not. I personally think it's boring, but the previous one, A Fine Day to Exit, is one of my favourite albums. All right, if you compare it to Alternative 4, it's pretty much different, but that doesn't equal for me it's shit, I equally like them both, but they're virtually incomparable.

The closing was related to personal issues. Some of the members know each other too well, hehe, which always makes friction more probable. Obviously not all the board members were involved in this fight. Who knows, maybe it's better this way anyway.
