@protocol:
the misanthrope thingy - i took his word and reported it. if you think my telling it is more significant than misanthrope's, i still ask you to take a good look at the way you used your authority on purpose and confront it with the fact i'm quite ready to say out loud that you have not banned anyone.
yesterday's conversation - if i recall correctly, you answered some of my questions (i asked you who's to say what's a valid/invalid topic, but you merely said it's plain to see for civilized ppl) but only until you decided it was time to stop. then you said the argument was going round in circles. i can explain my pov again, from scratch, here, if you think you are willing to reply. and i'm not biased or anything.
i was a bit edgy yesterday, but after all i think you have been a bit of a fascist last week, so i guess our behaviours are more than evened out.
respecting ppl - every time your personal ideas get in the way. even if at some level we might agree about it - and this is not the case - i'm talking about a different issue, protocol. i'm talking about allowing ppl to set the topic they like best even if you/me/mark/bubububu don't agree on the point or find it offensive. if you set a "rahvin is a dickhead" topic tomorrow i won't object. if you start a thread here saying "rahvin is a dickhead" i won't delete it either because i feel you're entitled to think and say what you like about me, iraq and the ever-present bubububu.
mark - i don't know whether he will approve. i hope he is willing to tolerate any topic. if he's not, i'd also think his behaviour is wrong. however, he's going to get married very soon and i will talk with him about it only afterwards, for the sake of decency.
getting topic-changing status - listen, i don't give a bloody bubu about the topic. seriously. i scarcely ever look at it. i can leave it at that and never mention topics anymore. i would never have started this here myself, even though i do agree with hyena. keep all topics for yourself, i won't give you candies when i have some and you're not my friend anymore, ok?
my whole point is that you're being exaggeratedly authoritative about it. if you react to this by making a great big show of your position of privilege or if you merely take my opinion into consideration and repy in kind it's your choice. and i'm not being bitter about that now.
again on yesterday - when i went away you were saying everything we (the users) get on #ultimatemetal comes from a benevolent act of will on your part. i took it as a half-joke and replied with sarcastic comments with smilies. even though you weren't serious, you were not telling me why the censorship.
banning - ok, that's settled. you don't ban/kick anyone and i've been wrong to doubt it. neither do i. but i won't delete a thread called "bomb the fuck out of iraq". if you were a mod and you did, i'd object to that.
