immo's compilation

The beginning of Nokturnal Mortum - Hailed Be The Heroes makes me feel like I'm at a square dance. Cool song none the less.

I never got the whole under produced black metal thing. Now given this comp has some cool riffs and what not, I find the production takes away from the songs. Is listening to an album with bad prod like watching a poorly made b-movie, in that b/c its crappy its fun?

Me neither, I refuse to listen to poorly produced black metal.

Poorly produced is a bad term. Just because you do not like the production does not mean it is poorly done.

The correct and only applicable term to what you are refering to is raw production. Unless it is in the case of an album that has things overproduced, or incredibly underproduced, then maybe ...

The rawest production I like is probably Taake's first album or production like Nokturnal Mortum - Carpathian Mysteries(don't know what album that's off).

Bands like Vlad Tepes are way too raw and sound pretty crappy to me, I can't enjoy it.

I'm glad you like the songs.
Byrne - i used winrar (but it sucks because programs like winrar, winace or winzip are not designed to compress multimedia files)

oh ok. i thought you had actually put them into some form of medley.

glad i didnt download it - already have most of it anyway (no offense, songs were decent choices; although id do something entirely different)

Heh, np man, we have different taste in music. I also like a lot of death metal, thrash, heavy and recently some doom, but bm remains my favourite.
