I live near chicago and we have a station called 94.7 The Rock. they play mostly shit that is tolerable but I dont like. They play Audioslave, Korn, Linkin Park, and then ACDC, GnR, ALL Metallica. So they have this thing called Fresh At 5. They play a new song from a cd that just came out. They even did Wildest Dreams by Iron Maiden. So I was listening to what would come on and he says that this band has been around since the early 90's and they are from Sweden of all places. So I'm like cool Swedish shit. The he fucking says they are In Flames and here is Clouds Connected and my fucking jaw hit the floor. I was joking to my friend the other day saying I was thinking of calling them and gonna request that song cuz I douby many know who In Flames is and I would request that one since its VERY radio friendly. But I never fucking thought I would hear In Flames on the radio. And to be honest it bothered me. I dont like hearing the shit I like on the radio. Because usually USUALLY it changes a band. And I couldnt help but wonder if Reroute part 2 is gonna be realeased now. I know they had alot of exposure with slipknot and Slayer and Iced Earth but, will In Flames really be known now or what?

I guess Iron Maiden suck now. And I saw, of all bands, fucking NEUROSIS videos being played on MTV. (if you know anything about Neurosis, then you'll realize what I mean.) Point is, hearing them on the radio doesn't mean shit. It doesn't USUALLY change a band.

Well that song they released as a single is one fo the two worst on the cd. The rest of the album is cool. They play Megadeth now too. They played Symphony of Destruction then some fucknut of a kid called asking who that band was and if they are touring ands the guy laughed at him.

And to be honest I know nothing of Neurosis cept for the name.

They make 10 minute slow ultra-heavy depressed apocalyptic dirges. About as un-mainstream as you can get. And the fact that they have 3 videos from their recent DVD (all of their 2001 album converted to video) in rotation on MTV should say something.

They are also my favorite band.
