In Flames -Sounds of A Playground Fading (Upcoming 10th album)

Anders has been using his lower death growls on older songs live, as we've seen the proof. But I'm surprised the a lot of you seem to be surprised about it. He used the low vocals quite a bit when I saw them in '09, especially on Leeches when he sings, "Spit me out." the second time, around the 1:00 mark, and also at the end. That's some of the heaviest vocals there. The girl on stage is there because Anders pulled her on stage after about the second or third song to give her a better "seat" for the entire show.

We've all seen Come Clarity, but I doubt anyone has seen this. Just skip to 1:25, but turn your speakers down at first. Or try and mute this video, and play it in sync with the last video. Trust me, it's pretty cool.

He's always had some parts of songs where he does the lower growls, for example the ''Spit me out'' part in Leeches, and he used to have the same thing in Trigger but he kinda stopped doing that since 2009. But in 2011 he seems to be using it surprisingly much.

I am holding up my ex-girlfriend in that Come Clarity video.

That's awesome. I was front row right next to the left speaker. I remember at one point near the middle of the show between songs, Anders said they wouldn't play anymore until someone bought a Faceless t-shirt. What a sick show.

haha, the girl was wearing a purple corset I think.

And yeah, I remember that. Anders is such a funny man. Also, one of our local bands, Kamikabe, their now former singer went off to The Faceless. Pretty crazy. I just saw him at my college (IUP) not too long ago.

Yeah, she was pretty hot I think. That's awesome. IUP, you say? That's cool. I just recently graduated from Pitt myself. So you traveled a little bit to Mr. Smalls, and I just had to go over a bridge and I was there, haha. Speaking of travel, there was this couple behind me in line that came from West Virginia to see BTBAM, but they were waiting to buy tickets at the door. A guy made an announcement that the tickets had been sold out, and I have no idea what happened to that couple.

Nice quality footage of The Hive and some sweet words from Anders:

I like the recent forewords Anders been introducing to the older songs:

That performance was fucking incredible. The death growl seems to be Anders' main vocal style (definitely in that video, but if you listen to clips of stuff like Deliver Us, he uses it in places it wasn't on the studio versions like "Reminisce".) If that continues to be the case then I can see no complaints about the live performances. I hope they start playing more from the new album too, can you imagine Enter Tragedy or A New Dawn with that growl?

Obviously, because of their drastic change of sound across ten albums, they indirectly created a situation where they play only the "hits". We know this. But it seems that they could possibly overturn that and with Anders introducing the older, lesser-played songs with the "if you don't know this, you don't know In Flames" line, they could in a way force the newer concert-going fans to listen to the older music. They can create a situation like Metallica's where they can play pretty much any song live and people will react to them in a positive way.

Amazing quality footage, and lol at Niclas fucking moves in the beginning around 30sec~. Also nice too see both Niclas and Björn singing/screaming along the lyrics, Jesper never did that as far as I remember.
