And that cannot simply be true because on allot of Andys mixes there are allot of body in the overheads. Like Chimaira for instance. Then hes getting the body from ambience for example.

I appreciate your point but I didn't say it, I just quoted it. I'm sure Andy does whatever he thinks sounds best but I thought it was worth pointing out where a bunch of guys here got the idea in the first place.
 
Honestly, I've even gone up to 800hz for low passing overheads. It really depends on the source, and what the mix demands. I also like to use stereo room mics, so I tend to use those for the body of the drum and cymbal sound, and just use the overheads to accentuate the higher frequencies and give the mix a more stereo cymbal sound.
