Yeah, I'm a big Iron Maiden and I can't really see any threads made about them, which is a bit odd considering how much they rock:headbang:

Anyway, I just thought was could discuss them, I mean there has to be some fans of them, right?

I love Iron Maiden for simple reasons, they have an amazing vocalist, great guitarists and brilliant solos...if thats not enough of a reason then I don't know what is.

Favourite song: Hallowed be thy name (its a classic, who can't love that song?)

Favourite album: Brave New World (thats a tough choice, but I personally think there newer stuff is better then there older, the songs seem to have more feeling and there a little bit heavy. This is certainly not taking anything way from there older stuff, because its metal at its best...ever!)

EDIT: Sorry, I'm not sure if this belongs here since Iron Maiden are still going strong, but they've been around since 1975 so I'd assume they'd count as and olide band.

scroll down the main page on the forum, you'll find more maiden.

btw yeah, Iron maiden is good, the new cd pwns big time. I also like the covers by cradle of filth and children of bodom

Well, if Maiden doesn't belong here, no one does !!
My favorite album is Killers but I also do like the stuff with Bruce.
I also think the new album is one of their better from the last years!!

Love old Maiden. They're the reason I started with metal, I started with "Piece Of Mind" and "Killers" followed thus being both my favorite all-time albums of the band.

I use to measure my life in Maidens (the time between albums) until SSOASS. After that the band begun to decay and if I followed Bruce era to the end, afterwards it was never the same anymore. I dug BNW but after it is no more for me.

Still one of the band in the pantheon and surely a band which name is inscribed in stone in the annals of metal.

Maiden was the shit until the Seventh Son album...
I don't think thats true, I think they were a lot of fun, they weren't meant to be take to seriously, yet they played brilliant solos and had a great vocalist, I can't see whats not to like.

I do think the Seventh Son album was step up, so is Brave New World and A matter of life and death, but I certainly don't think they sucked.

Well, I guess that a matter of personal taste. Different strokes for different folks. :)

Life After Death was the reason that I did become metalhead. And I have been Maiden fan since that. And they are briliant live band of course. Have seen them live two times now. And I´m going next year too if they come.
