Fuck. This is a complicated album. I'm not sure what to think. I suspect my mind has been blown. Multiple repeated listens are required.

It is certainly their most progressive yet. The late 80s influence has surprised me the most though I think. Sounds like a cross between Dance of Death and Seventh Son quite often.

I got a distinct X-Factor vibe on one the songs as well. Can't remember which one.

If you like storytelling Maiden, epic and progressive, live Seventh Son and the last couple of albums, you will love this. If you want an album of Aces High and Run To The Hills....sorry. Is funny how El Dorado and The Final Frontier are the 2 songs that standout so much in style to the rest, yet they are the ones released as a teaser. I understand why, El Dorado being the obvious choice for a live song and FF being more of a single, but still.
